Barb Ruser Receives AAF Omaha's Highest Honor
Barb Ruser, senior vice president of creative services at SKAR, received the American Advertising Federation Omaha’s top honor, the Silver Medal. The award was presented during the annual American Advertising Awards-Nebraska Banquet and Show, Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Omaha.

Who Needs Don Draper? The Real Mad Men Were Much More Interesting
Everyone’s heard about Don Draper, the suave, bed-hopping, 1960s creative director in AMC's “Mad Men.” However, most people know nothing about the actual ad executives the character is based on. That’s a shame, because they were much more interesting — mostly because of the astonishing work they produced.
One of my favorite things as an artist and advertising guy is to see brands and logos evolve over the years. I find it fascinating to see how a logo develops through decades and how it follows the style of the times. Here is SKAR's logo evolution.
