SKAR Honored With Two Health Care Awards

The 2015 Cancer Awareness Advertising Awards (CAA Awards) judging panel has selected SKAR as the recipient of two awards. Both entries were created for the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System (ETMC).

In the category of TV/Video Advertising-Single, “CyberKnife Lung TV” was named as a Silver Winner. The :30 TV spot promotes the fact that CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery targets tumors with surgical precision without the need for surgery. As a result, lung cancer patients have more hope and less pain.

Also selected as a Silver Winner in the Radio-Single category was “Linda Williams Radio.” The :60 testimonial spot tells the amusing and uplifting story of an East Texas woman who attended a livestock auction after losing her hair to chemotherapy. Unbeknownst to Linda, every time she scratched her head because of an itchy wig, she was placing a bid. “By the time the whole thing was over, I’d bought eight baby calves,” said Linda, who is now cancer-free and grateful to her caregivers at ETMC.
